One of my favorite Bambo shot was when ETimaGo gave him some soup because he'd been in the mail for a week (I'd never seen soup like that b/f), and another one is when someone put Bambo on a hydraulic jack so he could help her work on the car. There were other shots of Bambo sharing forum members' every day life that were really endearing (even jclo's shot of bambo passing out drunk ;). I don't have any nice mods on my cars to show you and Bamboo, so I thought I'd just show you what I know best instead. San Francisco is not that big, and a tourist can cover most of these sights in 2 or 3 days, if. Lucky for Bamboo, he is really small, so he could go with me wherever I went (he really did travel in the backpack a lot), and we just stopped to take pictures on the way (which means that a lot of people saw me walk around holding a stuffed animal oh well! ). On my days off, I took him to the beach, to the GG Bridge, and to Marin County (that's next), plus there is a surprise post but I'm keeping that one for later, when the thread is slow (and when I have time to process the pics ;). You guys should really like that one, so stay tuned. For now, I have a couple more SF posts to show you and that's pretty much the end of it. Whatever is left over will have to go on an online album of some sort. Quote:

Just an update, no Bamboo banner. I had to rush out on Thursday morning to Pittsburgh, gf was in the hospital, all good now, though. Nothing serious. I'll do one up on Monday.
Tomato, I assume you've been in touch with Jbougie regarding exchanging directions? |

Bamboo in Marin County (Marin Headlands)
Bamboo didn't get a good look at the City skyline from the GG Bridge the other day,
because it was pretty dark already. He did see the city lights come up one by one, from the top of the bridge, but wanted a clearer, better picture. So, on Saturday, we decided to drive out to Marin Headlands, right on the other side of the GG Bridge, in Marin County. It was a beautiful day, a little windy but completely clear, no fog, so we took a bunch of pics there. If you think Bamboo looks a little funny, on that pole, that's because Bamboo was scared of being blown away, even though I tied him properly to my messenger bag. A few tourists were observing the scene and some photographed Tomato photographing Bamboo, so you never know, there maybe a pic of the 2 of us on the net after all. After Windy Marin Headlands, we drove down to Horse Shoe Bay (I believe) where Bamboo sat for a while, and admired the city skyline. Bamboo had a wonderful time, especially since I let him drive But it was also the day before Bamboo meets the mailman, so it was a little nostalgic. Last edited by tomato; 12-08-2009 at 01:59 AM. |

Bamboo in Transit
(Guys, sorry about these dead posts up there ^ , I wanted to preserve the space so I can finish posting Bambo's SF pics without disturbing the chron for the others who're getting Bamboo next. I was going to do it this WE, but I'm feeling under the weather right now.)
Not to worry, though, Bamboo is long gone already and he should be at the next guys' early next week (that's in the next couple of days from this post at the latest) BamboMailtruck2.jpg BamboMailtruck.jpg BamboBox.jpg BamboPostOffice.jpg BamboMailBox.jpg Last edited by tomato; 12-07-2009 at 03:44 AM. |
