BUMP
I just talked to Mark and pending the receipt of my tax return this is a go. However, I have no experience owning a turbo car, so please, if someone could answer a couple of questions... [1] How long will my stock clutch last w/ 180 WHP? Should I plan on buying a clutch very, very soon? [2] Should I be changing oil at 3,000 miles from now on? I use Royal Purple. Mark, you have PM. |

i dont/ havent ever owned a turbo car...but....on the turbotoyota website..and also(im almost positive) with all the xa/xb kits. It says upgraded clutch "strongly recommended"...which i take as "your problem not ours" aka "we told you so". I view that as covering their eh...rears. I would recommend doing it asap. But thats just IMO.

I believe is a matter of how are you going to drive the car.
Don't think the OE clutch will hold a hard launch @180whp All my friends with high powered turbo cars change their high end synthetic oils at 3K. But then again they are running really expensive ball bearing turbochargers so it's a logical precaution. If I were you, the first thing I would do after installing the turbo is taking it straight to tunning shop. Last edited by CASTREX; 02-03-2009 at 04:11 PM. |
