Don't feel too bad. I had to show the trick to the salesman and the sales manager here. They were pretty impressed. By the way, the xD works the same way.

I believe the Sedan has a rubber protection lining around the gas filling area when you open the gas door latch. The LB model doesn't have one, it's just bare metal all around the filler tube.

Those flaps are a real bugger to get unclasped. They hold on tight.

Hi everyone, long time listener, first time caller.
If you unlock your car with the remote key, but take more than 25 seconds to get to it and open the door, the car will automatically lock itself again. |

The window roll down without the car on trick only works for 30 seconds after the car has been turned off and before either door is opened... wait too long or open a door then you can't roll the power windows down :)

maybe not a secret, but when I am driving in the morning my main road is 35mph. I stay between 35 and 40 and the car stays at a higher rpm without shifting and the car warms up pretty quick. I have an automatic which might explain it.

In the hatchback, the rear center passenger seatbelt buckle can lock into the roof when you're not using it to stop it blocking/distracting your view through the rear vision mirror.
You can adjust the brightness of your dash lights in the hatchback with the head lights on. You just have to flick the same button you do to check your km, then the final one (if you hold it down) will flick through the different levels of brightness. Quote:

The linear Dot-It lights work great in the glove box(es) (the latter if you have a hatchback)...
...since Toyota didn't for some reason think we'd need lights in our glovebox(es)! These swivel, so they work great in directing the light away from your eyes at night. And if you're lucky, you'll find one with the velcro sticky circles with it; otherwise you may need foam double-sided tape! BTW, WalMart has these for $6.85 or something like that! Cheers! M2 |

If you to have a bunch of stuff in the glove compartments, they tend to shuffle during intense cornering.

How can I increase the dash brightness in a sedan? The previous posts on this are a bit confusing.
