Funny you mention because us 2-door guys have literal airplane wings for doors. They're enormous and they don't have the built-in stopping points most cars have, or at least they're not nearly as stiff, because a light breeze will quickly send these massive doors into the car next to you.

You will. It's a beautiful car when you see it close up you just find yourself looking at it in different angles. Close up, then you move away from it get a view from a distance then you get close again, get view of the side after that you move to the back. It's one of those cars where you check out every angle. It's beautiful. OMG! Toyota killed the designed of this car. What it needs now is a hot hatch version. It will be, FIRE!! |

Wrong!! I have seen a few focus Rs in person. Sorry to say. They look bland just like a regular hatch. You can't even tell they are special until you see the RS badge on it.
The Corolla is really a master piece. View it for yourself. Stop looking at pics. |

These days, I don't think anything from Toyota even begins to approach "masterpiece" status.
Who is selling uglier cars than Toyota? Hmmm.... can't think of anyone. |

This single interior design feature would be a deal breaker for me:

I'm impressed. I hope the Yaris gets the same treatment.

Pretty good looking there. Off topic: Appears to have one of the TEq (Toyoda トヨダ) decals I custom made. I sold a bunch of them on craigslist. |

Hate that pukey blue color, and what's up with that piece of black tape next to the driver's side vertical rear bumper reflector? Wasn't the plastic, chrome-plated fake rear exhausts tacky enough of a look?
I had a chance to check out the XSE & SE at the dealership last time I was there for service, & it was even more unattractive (to me) in-person (just like the CH-R - holy crap, don't even get me started on that POS). I dropped the 2019 Corolla hatch off my list, after giving it a good inspection inside & out. I like my current Yaris SE (or even an iM) better than the new 2019 Corolla hatch, & I have a feeling the new TNGA 2020 Corolla sedan is going to be more of the same, with very little difference from the 2019 hatch. What a waste of an interesting new engine & drivetrain. Wonder how bad Toyota will ruin the TNGA Yaris in 2021. |

Eye of the beholder I guess. I would rather own that Yaris hybrid you picture-linked above.

give me the Corolla every day and twice on Sunday! i don't 'dislike' the current Yaris design, but after owning three in the Yaris-family the 2019 Corolla hatchback is very refreshing to me.
