Just got home from work. What a week.

I have to get ready to spend next week working in St. Petersburg, FL.

Hmmmm. Two board shorts, 4 island shirts, 4 undies, 2 pairs of sandals. Oh, and one laptop. That's a whole lot better than a suit, overcoat, gloves, and scarf for Washington D.C. last week.

Actually, the word was that we were told to never come back with a sales pitch. Yikes! I was but one of 8 suits our company sent there. Lucky for me, I did the technical presentation. Although I had to face a withering barrage of technical questions, the other two presenters (Business Development & Program Office) were essentially shut down and told thanks but no thanks shortly after they started speaking.

Next week it's just roll up our sleeves (except I'll be in short sleeves

) and do some real engineering.

Not sure you have time for that. You'll be in Florda after all. Surely, they aren't expecting you to work too much.

What the hell! It's supposed to drop to 28 degrees by dawn tomorrow. If I wanted this kind of weather, I would have gone to the midwest. This is supposed to be FLORIDA.

I think I'm going to layer on all of the above clothes tomorrow. Good thing I'm flying back to... rainy Southern California.

They were saying on the news FL is expecting a hard freeze tonight.

I wrapped my sandalled feet in burlap strips today. Kinda in the spirit of Valley Forge.
