Coming from PR, the land of so many revolutionary and super fast 1/4 mile speed demons, I'm not surprised anymore, w/c means loads of respect to the tuners and racers there ;)

The one good thing about a 1.8 liter engine making 180hp vs a forcefed 1.5 liter engine making the same power is reliability especially over the long run. I'd pay the premium for that. Of course the 1.8 liter engine opens up loads more potential for more power ;)

If and when someone comes up with the detailed instructions for the wiring and force-fitting the 2ZZ engine into the Yaris engine bay, I'll be drooling behind my laptop :)

I hope the guys from PR do share their "secrets" very soon :)

Thanks for the props of ours cars here (in P.R.). These might sound funny cause we are a little island (135x23 miles) but I haven't been able to locate this guy!!!! See the car beside the internet nor find info about who did the job. There's also a Lb that has been around for more than a 1.5 year, but same results....

Most of these jobs are done in local workshops or at home. So tracking the people who did the jobs is difficult.

But'll keep trying

This might be some useful Info:

-Island (135x23miles o is it 123 x35.. know I don't remember LOL)
-Population: 4 million
-People to Cars Ratio (registered/driving on streets): 0.8 car per person (chek the population

)
-Yaris: Best selled car for to years in a row..... (Toyota dealers have reduced if not stop to bring Scion, Corollas..)
-Registerd Steets: One of the Worlds most streets per square mile (if not #1). And dirt roads (ain't made by the goverment) so there ain't that many, but the one that do exist are to get to some neat beaches (that not too many people know about) Private farms, made for ATV, 4x4, etc not for daily driving, not a good place to take a yaris

and driving from one side of the island to the other might take you 3 hours if not more.

LOL That should be a nice Mission, but I'll keep on searching for the guy.

100 by 35 is the correct size, the pictures from the track look like carolina which is close to San Juan .

theres a couple of pics that look like Carolina Speedway but theres one with bridge crossing over ther start line that doesnt look like Carolina nor the one in Ponce, But i havent been to the one in Ponce in like 2 years and only recently went to the one in Carolina a couple of weeks ago

Sedans have a bit more room in the engine bay than the hatches. a 2ZZ can be swapped in, but a turbo application might be hard for us liftback owners due to spacing. I'd love to do this though.

Something is not right. 92mph does not equal a 13.1 et. ESPECIALLY on a fwd application. Just isn't possible.

I can't wait to swap my engine ,,,, I'm geeting one with the transmission in dubai ...

it's close to me cause I'm in KSA, so there is no problem for me to go there ^_^

Oh yeah and I don't care if the turbo will not fit cause 180Hp is more than enough .
cause if you compare it with the stock engine it will only give you 160hp max with the turbo installed........

Well now the hunt is on to find wrecked cars with complete engines and take them and the entire computer system out and make some really scary fast Yarii mutants.....

This is kinda like what Foth did with M2 Motors and the xD withthe MR2 turbo motor and drive trane in it.....it is a beast. and they did not have to do as much box work to the frame work to get it to fit as I thought they would.
