That's a stick on model. This one does not fit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...c mdZViewItem

Stock cover is on the bottom, eBay item is on top (seller=vr510v). Note that the OEM attaches with clips, not one (misplaced) clip and three screws. Don't waste your money.

I just saw this thread ~

So? Are these covers or what......do they just go over the original ones? I'd like them to be replacements and not just cover ups ~

I'm interested but I live In Australia ~

Violin, my car is the one with those cheap covers from Ebay. I guess I was the lucky one who got the right kind because mine came with the right tabs and all.
They are still on my car and holding well. It's been a few months and so far so good!

Wish i had seen this thread prior to purchasing this same item from the same seller on Ebay (vr510v)...Ive had to file a PayPal claim against him. This seller is a liar and threatens anyone who dares to want a refund.

ATTN: Yarisworld members DO NOT purchase anything from seller Vr510v ON EBAY!!! His product is crap, as Violin said, and he knows it

See below my exchange with him on PayPal:

From PayPal: PayPal on 6/1/2007 08:47 PDT
Buyer escalated this dispute to a Claim.

From Buyer: Barry Burke on 6/1/2007 08:47 PDT
Read this ebay seller response to me. This seller is not legitimate and provides no customer service whatsoever. I demand a full refund against this seller for this transaction.

From Seller: Pang Chun Yu on 5/31/2007 22:52 PDT
What YARIS you've got? It fits YARIS HATCH only and it's listed in our listing. Dont try to cheat us and we will leave negative and report ebay and paypal as fraud.

From Buyer: Barry Burke on 5/30/2007 15:45 PDT
The Toyota Yaris LED mirror cover replacements advertised by this seller do not fit the factory mirrors. The seller says no refund because he has 'pictures' of it installed on the car. This is the second Toyota Yaris part that I have purchased from this seller that did not fit as advertised. I have filed negative ratings for both items on Ebay regarding these purchases with no feedback received from the seller regarding a refund or anything to satisfy his customer (me). The only acceptable outcome to me is a full refund of this purchase.

OK guys, finally got something substantial to update you with.

Toyota dealerships don't really sell these as they are not part of the accessories catalog. I did manage to get a quote for the OEM ones through an aftermarket shop, but they're looking at around US$450 for the pair, and probably no less than $375 if we do a group buy for 10 pairs. So I'd say, scratch that.

The dealership did tell me that they often upgrade the mirror covers on customer cars, but using aftermarket covers. These are not the stick-on type, they are the replacements for the stock covers. They're not the "Sakura" ones that are pictured earlier in this thread, and I'm not quite sure they are the same as the other ebay ones posted before:

Anyway the dealership is asking for 4000B for the pair, that's about $117 at current exchange rates.

These are recommended by Toyota, but I'm quite sure I could find the same ones cheaper elsewhere. So, the search continues

Color-wise, they should be able to get all the ones that are available locally. But, there are some colors offered in other countries which are not available here for the Yaris, such as the bayou blue.
It is quite possible that the shop that paints these has the paint colors in stock, though, so I will need the paint code for:

Bayou Blue Metallic - 8T1
Copper Orange Mica (Canada)
Jade Sea Metallic (Sedan) - 777
Flint Mica (Sedan) - E10
Nautical Blue Metallic (Sedan) - 8S6

Edit - I found most of the paint codes, but just need a Canuck to confirm the copper orange mica
