Pretty quiet on here today. Fixing to start washing puppies. Lady is picking up a chocolate pom today.

Want to go look at one of those tiny laptops today. The Acer One Aspire. Most of the reveiws are good. Without a CD drive how do I load MS Office on it? Anyone know?

If you get the XP version, it should come pre-installed. otherwise you'll have to connect it to another computer or use a USB disk drive.

Thanks. How do you get it on the USB drive? I already have office on CD.

But I do plan to get the XP version with the 6 cell battery.

How is the Asus? What's the difference?

M$ Office install files can be ran from over the network. WAY back then, i used to share my office disc from my Mac, and install it on optical-driveless notebook over the network :)

edit: the asus is fine, minus the UGLY design.

Thanks. Most of my contracts and spreadsheets are done in office, was just hoping to get the smaller computer to make it all more portable (and not spend a ton).

Main computer is a HP pavilion 17". Love the 10-key on the side. Left over from my accouting days.

Also, younger daughter goes to college in August, I know she's gonna need a new computer. Although she might need something with more power. Hopefully everything will be upgraded by then.
