Damn, I could barely afford one car when I was an A1C! Of course, that was back in 1984, so things have changed a bit.
Good on ya for wrenchin' them Strike Eagles at the 4th, that wing has a long history that goes back to the Eagle Squadrons of WWII. It's a great unit and the E's are wonderful aircraft, but Hogs kick ass! By the way, I was a maintainer during my enlisted days (81-87), got commissioned in 89 so if you plan to make a career out of it, take all the educational opportunities you can get! And welcome to YarisWorld! If you ever get back down to San Antonio, let us know. Yes, I work at Lackland (as a contractor, I retired four years ago), but I have nothing to do with BMT! Cheers! M2

Now I'm forced to post some pics of my 2010 yaris sedan because of the great influences of all the supporters here. So, here it goes!
As you can see I only got the "Standard" package but will upgrade/mod it soon. |

It was easy. just unscrewed the old one and put on the provided post and antenna ... I do, however, have to remove it now in car washes. Since it is stiff, it got broken off my the car wash and I had to replace it. I wish I had gotten a more flexible one now...

About time I check in. I purchased my yaris in 2007 and have been on here since. Everything I ever needed to know I found on this site. I figure it's time I register an account and start helping with the knowledge.

Bought a 2008 Yaris sedan on Saturday with a 7300 miles. It was between that and a PT cruiser with 32000 miles. The gas mileage was the difference maker, it got my wife to agree to it. It seemed like it would take a lot of getting used to, but I'm adapting to it fast.
My previous car was a 1991 Civic, the Yaris feels bigger, partly because you sit higher, and partly because although the two cars are about the same length, it seems there is more room for people. The car should be big enough for the three people in my family (I don't see my family growing any time soon). My car lacks power windows, power locks and cruise control. I can do with out them. My Civic had cruise control, but the cruise control had been broken for years, so I did without anyway. Before the Civic, I had a 94 LeBaron convertible. It was fun, but was wearing out pretty fast. Before that I had an 87 Chevy Sprint. It had a lot of transmission problems, I drove for a couple years without having second gear. Plus the heater didn't work, and I was driving in during some very cold winters. Prior to that, I had my first car, a 73 Celica. That was a nice car, I wish I had fixed it up and kept it longer. So, I expect to have this car for a very long time. |

welcome and good choice . Are you aware the sedan has seat height adjustment ? I take it that you bought the manual 5 speed . If so , you should be able to achieve 38 plus miles per gallon quite easily . Enjoy .
