I've been driving with the gauges there for some time. They are very easy to read, and don't obstruct any view out the windshield in that position. I think the AEM's will be even easier than the Phantom II's I had there before.

This is one of those things everyone had doubts about, but I did it anyway. Sometimes my experiments aren't successful, but this works.

JULY 27 update:

motor is primed, fluids are in. Left to do:

1. water temp sensor
2. new gauges - details
3. weld up the large hole in my custom exhaust (somehow I ripped a hanger right off the resonator)

probably on a speed bump - the metal of the resonator is thin, so it's easy to rip off a hanger from there.
