Mileage

solarVitz, how much did your mileage decrease because of the 17 inch wheels? also are the gsr wheels 15 inches?

Thanks.

my mpg went down to 35 and the 17's were really heavier than 15's. the gsr wheels were 15's.

Thanks for the info solarvitz. I am looking at getting new wheels for my Yaris, I am looking at 16 inch wheels and I found a few that I like but a better selection of rims are made in 17 inches, and I was thinking of maybe going 17 but not if my milage will suffer. Now I am even thinking of going with 15 inch wheels.

yo bro you can go 17's without losing mpg..as long as you get the lighter rims close to the 15's weight.. echo hrs i believe has one..

I have owned my blazing blue for three days; I am getting the factory spoiler installed Friday. Love the car. my brother photoshopped a picture to ridicule me and it is pretty funny. i will try to attach the picture to this post

Do you know which rim companies make lightweight wheels. I am familiar with Gram Lights, but I dont want to spend close to $300 a wheel. I am looking at spending the most $150 per wheel.
Do you know what the weight is of the factory steel 15 inch wheel?

check echo hrs page.. my experience is that alot of company sells the same type of rims they just used their own brand name on the middle cap.. my suggestion is bring a scale to the rims store and weight the rims you like..chose 3-4 types and buy the lightest one. id say 17 lbs or less is good.
