What paint do you use on the cylinder cover
How do you go about painting the cylinder cover.
Looking to do that on my 2010 yaris |

Spray paint works, make sure it's rated for high-heat and will bond to plastic. Prep is simple, wash and de-grease the cover, prime it, then paint it. Pretty simple. Also helps to do a light sanding before painting.

it was not easy at all...i touched it up and lined everything in black today so it looks much better. Im fixin to go pick up the clear coat and pop it all back on. you can definitely tell it was hand painted but i feel like it gives it some character

I did my engine cover last weekend and let it cure for a week before putting it back on. I think it turned out pretty good... you can see the primer where the tape was. I think I'll take a sharpie to it soon. For now, enjoy! I'll detail my engine probably this coming weekend after the wind dies down. |

Juju, what an imagination. What type of paint did you use? Would have to be a high temp paint right?
