i just want to stress a point again. anyone who just did this mod you have to drive it for a good 2 days or so for the ecu to learn the now tb. it will oscillate bad until then.

Oh I was under the impression that the chip swap made the oscillation and CEL go away immediately. Think I should leave it on for a few days?

I'm gonna leave the stock one on for a week or so and then start over with the chip swap. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one having this problem.

ok.......

here's the deal....again...for you who will listen now

you can stop the oscillation in less than ten minutes.

after the swap, pull the plug on the battery, drain caps by hitting brakes and turning on lights

plug in batt

start car AND LET IDLE FOR 10 MINUTES

you have to re-learn the iac sensor to the new throttle body...it is oscilating to learn the position of the iac motor....unless you have a vac leak somewhere.

Yeah I did that... didn't help at all. I disconnected and drained the battery before I even removed the TB.

Mine's on the car, so I can't really measure it right now.

Do a search. It's on here. I think in the Performance Mod section. There's a picture of both TBs and the exact measurement of each.

Reinstalled the 1ZZ w/ chip swap this morning with gasket sealer and coolant bypass but didn't disconnect the battery so we'll see if anything changes later today.

I never had the issue.

I think you have an air leak somewhere in the system. Best bet is to pull the TB, and reapply the sealer and let it sit overnight to set up.
