awww man! i should have stayed long enough for that picture by the plane! it was fun meeting everyone and like phil said, the museum was VERY cool! i would like to thank qmobile and n2scouting for hosting this get-together and greenthunder for organizing it(sorry you couldn't make it). let's see....8 or 9 yarii(i can't remember), 5 states represented, 1 interesting venue - not too bad for a bunch of midwesterners

Q checkin in! Ounce I got back to the "stompin' grounds"('bout 2 hours) I linked up with GT at a HUGE local car show that was today 2 and we hung out for a lil.
And your welcome everybody!! This was the best meet I've been to yet!! And hey, if any of you are in my neck of the woods at anytime look me up. I'm kind of a quiet guy if you did'nt pick that one up, I do most of my talking via internet. Huge shout out to Jim(N2) for being such a great host/tour guide/witch-wayer I wish my ride was a lil cleaner but the car wash I was planning on stopping at was closed(I did'nt know a 24 hour wash closed). Oh btw Danielle did you learn anything? So........ok........yeah geuss talk to you guys laterPeace, Q

Well pretty much all of the good pictures were taken by Charles (so you can use them for personal use but he wants a cut of the profits if you make any money off of them lol) Here are a few choice pix of the cars and a few of the group...

It sucks for me since I wasn't able to make it at the last minute N2scouting, I apologize for not getting your email, Qmobile filled me in on how the meet went and I would like to give you a round of applause for helping out ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote:
Again I would like to say that I'm glad you guys had a good time in Dayton and the meet was a success. I would have rather hung out with you guys then working OT but it happens. |

Sounds like it was a blast!! Too bad I couldn't make it out there (Dayton's just a lil too far for me.... more then the entire length of PA away)... Maybe something a lil closer next time? :)

I've been waiting for some pictures to see! Thanks.
Needed more Sedan showings. That black one is looking good, as all the LBs. If it were closer than the 4+ hours I would have made it (not that mine is anything to look at yet) Mini Cooper 16's and custom homemade lower grille. I've always wanted to see the museum also, could've killed 2 birds but oh well. Maybe somewhere near Lake Erie/Cleveland next year....... Last edited by JTDBT903; 08-25-2009 at 04:49 PM. |

I thought it was funny that when we were going to eat the sedan was last in the line at first, but seriously it's a clean ride OJ. I think a annual event is also a great idea!!!

Charles sez:
It was fun going out to the meet even though I'm not a Yaris owner. I think they are cool little cars. Often underestimated and have tons of potential. Everyone there was great. n2scouting did a great job as tour guide. He obviously knows his stuff when it comes to planes and I'm sure everyone learned a few things from him. It gave me a good chance to break in my new camera as well. It was my first time using a DSLR rather than a DSLR want to be. I think many of the shots came out great. Out of ~550 shots I had maybe 30 that were really blurry. Then I went through an deleted several duplicates. I've never photographed a group of cars before so I wasn't sure what to do beyond what I did. The full gallery with over 400 shots total: http://tda.ath.cx/gallery2/main.php/...is/2009-08-22/ Yes, it is slow. I'm using server hardware from 1999 and running through a standard cable connection. But I don't have to deal with anyone else's hosting rules, limitations, or crappy image compression (like photobucket). Car shots are on pages 12-16 go straight to Page 12 I'd be up for going to another Yaris meet. This has encouraged me to actually go to a Saturn meet if they ever have one somewhat locally. (I drive a lowered 2000 Saturn SL2) Nice meeting you guys
