No offense to anyone, Chris or Charles, but I am getting discouraged waiting for this intake. It would be nice if there were weekly updates, but when someone asks the status is like we are slaping your mother or something. If there is going to be some hudge delay, then just say so. the worst thing is just not to say anything and have people expecting it soon.

Relax, guy. It'll be done when its done. I'm sure Charles is working on it as fast as he can, and considering its been end-of-term exams and such, I bet we can all cut him a little slack!

They all shipped out yesterday Alpha.. what, you never ordered your's yet?
I would suggest buying another one then if you really cant wait. Then when your kicking yourself for not waiting once the SS SRA comes out, you can flip it to another member on the cheap. |

I told you there would be a "huge delay" when we had to switch machinists. Sucks, but there isn't anything I can do. I'm waiting with the rest of you.

well, I did it. I just took out the bottom half of the airbox and duct taped the filter to the top! when you give it gas you can definatley hear it now, although I was expecting to hear it more. not much more power, im still using the stock filter. I would think that the chinotake would sound better and give more power since it will be a smooth tube and a new filter.
If you want to hear the engine though, you cant do an intake mod for cheaper!!! |

Thought you were at least saying to do a "Blitz" type setup, where the stock black hose is kept, but a MAF adapter clamps on, then a filter. Very basic setup they sell. Anyway.. |

GHETTOFABULOUS INSTALL PROCEDURE
1. open airbox by unclipping 2. unscrew bolts on bottom of aribox 3. using a rasor, cut the ziptie holding on the maf wire to the bottom airbox peice 4. bend up the top of the airbox and just tape around the edge of the filter to hold it on the bottom. you shouldnt have to take the whole top off... |

I would not recommend this... but it is free (minus duct tape) and well alpha's running it so it must work
