I'd go back to the stock air box if you have one handy. Who knows when that air filter was serviced if you have to take the car apart just to get to it. You should be getting way better mileage than that. Hey, just thinking... you may have another option if you don't have an original air box. You might consider mounting the air cleaner at the connection point just after the first 90 degree downturn of your intake pipe. Try cleaning it (and lightly oiling it if it's an oil filter), and installing it where that big round black rubber thing is now and see what happens. It would turn yours into a short ram intake. |
