How to put in my 'own' cargo net?

Hey yall, I have have a S Sedan, and I wanna put my cargo net from my accord coupe in the yaris trunk for groceries, etc. I think to buy the yaris net is like $75 (unnecessary). Well, I dunno if I'm missing something, but I don't see the little circle hooks in my trunk to put the cargo net ends on. Any advice?

i dont know about the sedan but on the liftback, i THINK, there are knobs on both sides of the car and the cargo net wraps around them and hangs.

duct tape does the job.

chewing gun is also a good alternative to keep things in place.

Why would you want to chew on a "gun" for?... j/k, I knew what you meant.

As far as attaching the net, I'm to sure how you'd go about it. Sorry

Usually nets are secured with T looking pins. They usually replace regular push pins in the panels. You could probably pick up some of those double headed push pins or buy some little screw in hooks from the home depot.

look for the "black dots" in your trunk and do what acrbill said. my S came with the cargo net, and it was pretty simple to install it.

Thx guys! However, I'm still a gal and a little confused (and the scan is a little grainy for me). I see those black dots everywhere around the trunk, and at first glance and touch they seem like they could be removed with a tough nudge against the edge of a flathead screwdriver. But after those are removed, do I still have to buy those T shaped hooks? I only have the net from my accord coupe left. And what'd it say about putting back the carpet?! Hee hee, thx boys!

Oh, my bad. "Do what acrbill said" (look at Home Depot for T shaped pins). What about replacing the carpet? And um.. I'm not sure that some part at Home Depot would magically happen to fit those holes in my Yaris I wonder if I can try to pull those black dots out 'a little bit', hook the ends of the cargo net on and push them back in (as opposed to replacing them)?

It's not $75.

You gotta stop the "I'm just a girl" bit. I'm the father of three daughters who I'm raising to be anything but helpless.

(i used my finger nails to do this)

grab the "inner ring" and pull it out (if i remember correctly, this is how you take it out so you can slide the black thing [will be in the next pictures])

next, pull back the carpet and you will see a metal piece sticking out. (if i remember correctly) slide the black thing (the threaded hole for the the T hooks, like my terminology? ) so that you can see right through it. next, push/put back the carpet so that no part of it is sticking out. bottom 3 pics should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise (sorry)

next, thread the T hook through the assemble piece from the previous step (remember, lefty-loosie, righty-tighty) until it is tight and horizontal.
