New tires on! Kumho Ectas!
I finally purchased tires the appropriate size, I had been running some VERY big Zexus tires on my 17" rims, rubbing was a everyday occurance, but the tires were free and they lasted me till I could scrape the funds together to get my new tires.
they are entry level, but I am very happy with them, very good traction in rain and on dry pavement. Kumho Ecsta AST 215/40R17 no rubbing, even over the worst bumps and potholes. very happy with them!

Sweet purchase. I almost got those but went with the ASX's because they were lighter and had better winter traction ratings.

Making a passing joke about your lack of lowering springs is a far cry from that shit you pulled the other day.
You gonna cry about that all over these forums or just chalk it up to a loss and move on? If you want to talk about it further, my PM box is just a click away. Oh, and its right here. Just type middlefinger between colons. |

Now that you've got your new tires, do you have any plan's for any suspension upgrades?

With bigger wheels/tires, one loses torque, yea?

Wrong, overall diameter is the same because his wheels are bigger but his tires are lower profile. His loss of power is due to increased weight. But your right in that if they were taller than stock he would lose torque.

suspension upgrades are still a ways away, simply because I am worried that lowering springs will cause rubbing issues again. I like the lowered look, dont get me wrong, I just like being able to tear around corners without hearing the dreaded rubbing sound.
as far as other suspension upgrades, I will prolly fab up some strut tower braces and look into purchasing a bushing kit and a rear swaybar.
