Poll, rate Toyota, your dealer and your Yaris.
1 to 10, 10 being the best.
Toyota - 1 Reason, twice they have sent me a survey, twice I have given them a bad rating. You would think they would have contacted me on why I gave them a bad rating, as of today they haven't. Dealer - 1 Reason, They plan suck., I'd give them more but you're only allowed two thumbs. lol Oh hell, I'll give them this also . Yaris - 10 For what it is it's a great little car. Later, Al |

Toyota - 5
Could have handled all the current problems a little better, especially since now there was shown to be a cover up of some things. Dealer - 3 I've gone to 2 different dealers and they are both expensive and both have OVERFILLED the oil in my car. One of them also gave me plain old castrol when I specifically asked for synthetic. The only reason they get a 3 is that they refunded my money for the screw up. Yaris - 9 In 3 years the only problem was a dead battery. The paint kind of sucks but, other than that its been great. |

So you expected something that wasn't promised, didn't get it, so they deserve a 1?

Toyota - 10 - They understand the consumer and deliver solid products that people actually want.
Dealer - 9 - Initiated sale through their web site, went in and reviewed available cars in the region and picked one. It was delivered the following day. No hassles, no pressure, easy transaction. I never use dealers for service so I can't rate that. Oh, and they only got a 9 because well, they're a car dealership and I know they aren't really doing me any favors. Yaris - 10 - Fun to drive, great on gas, no frills transportation. Everything I need in a car. |

It's hard to put a number on Toyota. They have the best corporate CAFE, and the most "best in class" vehicles. But their fuel economy numbers are only "less dismal" than everyone else's. Not actually *good*
I strongly suspect that all dealers of all makes and models rate about '0' once all the facts about them are known, and have throughout recorded automotive history. The Yaris? I like it. I'd give it an 8. (What? Me biased?) -Steve |

Toyota - 9.5 - not 10 only because they seem to be neglecting the aftermarket for our Yari
Dealer - 10 for the dealer I finally bought it from 4 for the first one I tried to buy it from first The first dealer I spoke to tried so desperately to get me to buy a car I did not want when he was unable to get what I wanted. He even lied to me saying that automatics get better mileage then manuals, because the computer can shift better then humans can. Tried to get me in to an auto, a scion , a corolla, a used kia rio... It was quite irritating, and came off feeling very shady. I finally gave up and called around. The 2nd dealer was like "Oh yea we have that exact car coming off the boat in about a week!" It was exactly what I wanted and a pretty good deal... Yaris - 9.5 - Fun to drive, but with great gas mileage, looks beautiful, but with great reliability - great value as well -0.5 only because of lack of a tach (or even a shift light) in a manual car, and the cheap interior/missing features you have to pay extra for. If it came with a tach, and the S interior without paying so much for it, I'd give it a 10+

Toyota - 6
Toyota Dealer - 3 Yaris - 9.5 |
03-28-2010, 06:23 PM | #10 |
Toyota - 9.5 - All Manufactures have recalls and they all try to spin them to minimize impact on sales. Toyota got caught, hence the 9.5
Dealer - 9, Second Toyota from the same Dealer, both purchases arranged through Costco. Yaris - 10, so far. |

Toyota = 10
They've never done anything to me, and they've been an awesome car maker for yeeaaarrrsss so they get a 10 by default :) Dealer = 10 I would give them a 100, hoenstly. They worked their asses off to get us a car (first time auto buyers loan was needed - never needed a loan before), and they are absolutely hands down the best dealership to work with. I HATED car dealerships by the point we got to Toyota because the sales people were rude, and pushy and their customer service sucked. Not at my dealer, they take amazing care of my car and go above and beyond even when I just go in for the standard $20 oil change. I love them and can't say enough good things about them! Yaris = 10 It's a Yaris. No more detail is needed :) |

1. There was a heavy residue on the entire car and glass, I didn't notice this when I bought because it was raining. 2. Left front rotor backing shield was rubbing against brake rotor. 3. There was slight 6" scratch above the right side door. 4. All windows inside were dirty. 5. All four tires were 10-12 lbs. low on air. 6. Left front wheel had some type of overspray on it. 7. Underbody rubber plug were not installed by the dealer. 8. The Onyx comes with a numbered limited edtion key chain, there was none with the car. 9. I found broken pieces of glass on the rear floor. I found all of these problems the day after I bought my Yaris, I corrected all of the problems myself that same day. That is all but one thing, as of today I still have not recieved my number Onyx key chain. Toyota has never contacted me about my complaints. |

Toyota 5- they could have dealt with their problems better. They forgot that the
customer is the reason they sell cars Dealer 9- All problems were dealt with immediately. Salesman phoned us three times since we bought the car to see if there was anything else we needed Yaris 9- Really a cool little car, I need to drive it more. Bought it in January and only have 935 miles on it.
