2015 SCCA Runoffs
Head out tomorrow for the SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Daytona. Cant wait to get out there and run the full Rolex 24 course. Looks to be a pair of Yaris this year, with our 2015 in H Production and a B-Spec car out of Texas.
We have practice on Sunday, followed by four days of qualifying, and the championship races start on Friday. Fortunate enough this year to race on Friday, so we can make a vacation of the rest of the weekend - and after the last few weeks getting the car ready I need it. Once again SCCA will broadcast all of the championship races live, a link to them can be found at: http://www.scca.com/runoffs There is also live timing. H Prod race is at 1:30pm (eastern) on the 25th, and B-Spec is the same day at 5:10pm. I will try to put some updates here if time allows, but we will have more info at RACER.com and on the @RACERmag twitter feed. We are even going to try to live-stream in-car video.

What a week...
We were the quickest H Prod car from the first practice, and in every qualifying session. The race was going to plan until the last lap, when contact in Turn 2 compromised the car. Even with what we believe was a tire going flat we had the lead in to the Bus Stop, but the car did not want to turn and I had to take to the grass. Got back on track, still in the lead, but with 2nd and 3rd running up fast. As the three of us approached the checkered flag there was contact between the other two cars, and like a finish right out of NASCAR one was in the wall and the other two of us were triple digits in the grass. When the dust settled I was scored with second place. Disappointing after a dominate week, and all of the months of effort, but we will take it.
