Chose Yaris over Fit? This is how many miles you can drive it for free on the diffrnc
If you bought the basic manual Yaris right now without any extra packages, instead of buying the Honda Fit sport manual like I did (which came out to 18800).
You can drive your Yaris for 46,500 miles for free, for taking it over Fit. The price difference is $3750 divide that by roughly $2.90 per gallon and 36 mpg average, and thats what you'll get ... 46,551 miles... Mind boggling, isn't it... 4 years of driving and not having to pay for gas... yet, still I enjoy my |

Glad you like your minivan, that is what car purchasing is all about.

I'm an equal opportunity hater too, but I like the Fit (maybe even a little bit more than my Yaris).
The steering wheel and overall interior is higher quality (and you obviously pay for it with its higher price) than that of the Yaris. |

Don't get me wrong...I liked the interior in comparison to the Yaris but I just couldn't get over how really ugly the car is on the outside. I quickly decided that I couldn't drive something that ugly....period. The interior wasn't as nice but I am just too much of a car style guy to drive something so unproportional. The picture posted above is about as good as a FIT will ever look. In person...they have the lines and proportions that only a mother could love.

so what your saying is you enjoy driving the mini mini van? good for you, but I think if you really liked it you wouldn't have a need to sign up on a yaris forum to tell everybody about it. Who are you trying to convince? Us or you? |

Exactly, and you have to buy the most expensive Fit to get the least ugliest one!
Plus, as I've said I already own an Odyssey. It's a great minivan but I don't need it's little brother sitting next to it in the driveway. And to me, most Fit owners are just one step up from people who drive a Pruis... And Kustom Play is right, did you just join this forum to rave about your Honda?!? Are you wanting to get ? |

i must say, toyota should be embarrassed by the interior they put in the yaris after looking at the fit interior. i know the fit costs more, but that cant be due to just a supeior interior.

No hate from me. I test drove the Fit MT and was impressed, in fact, I like it better for city driving.

Dont know why this thread turns into fit bashing. I originally posted just a curious calculation of how much you can save in purchasing a Yaris.
And I do mean it sincerely. I spent 4 yrs on this Yaris forum (had the join date reset during the great server hack last Fall) and about 1.5 yrs researching the Fit. And when I finally saved enough money, I pulled the trigger on the Fit mostly for the reasons of safety. Both are wonderful cars. Yaris is cuter to my taste (on the outside), but I liked the driving feel of the Fit. It just really... (well, I wont go into details, I remember that im on Yarisworld). By the way, the Fit Freak is so boring compared to Yarisworld. It has a bunch of immature drivers who are only concerned with senseless mods. |

hmmm... they're not just on FitFreak ;) ^
I agree with you completely on the slightly better handling of the FIT (for some situations, especially city driving) and far better looking Yaris (outside). I drove the FIT Sport MT, though, if it makes a difference, and I come from Honda so maybe that's why the FIT felt great, IDK. Don't take it too personally if the peeps on here bash the FIT. Maybe it's because the reviewers (Consumer Reports and a lot of others) have been bashing the Yaris repeatedly. The reviews I read before going to the dealership were so mediocre, I almost didn't want to go. One dealer even told me "well the Yaris is not an impressive car, why don't look at that other car over there instead." Don't worry, we bash other cars, too but deep down inside.... ... there might be a little bit of envy |
