Engine bay prettification project
Just an idea trotting in my head, our engine bays are overloaded with that hideous ribbed plastic cable sleeving and electrical tape, especially when the plastic engine cover is removed.
There's the possibility to replace spark plug wires with some nicer, colored ones, but for most of the rest, I'd like to keep the wiring in place, but use colored spiral wrap instead. Now the question is, can standard spiral wrap (such as is used in computer customization) withstand the heat of an engine bay? http://www.directron.com/tu189red.html http://webtronics.stores.yahoo.net/12redspwrgre.html What do you guys think?

awesome, a nice kit of different sizes... I'd prefer the spiral wrap type, but if they do this in red, it's not too bad. Thanks for the link!

It'll look like spaghetti in your engine bay....
Here's what I would suggest. - Polish valve cover - oil cap - radiator cap - oil catch can - Samco hoses - nice strut bar - clean your engine bay. engine covers like this..

well my engine bay's already got some goodies in it...
But I want to get rid of the plastic engine cover and paint or polish the metal valve cover, tidy up cables, etc.

Just go to autozone or any parts store and go to the electrical section and they have wire/hose covers in different colors and they are cheap. Plus u could get the whole fake braided stainless for ur radiator hoses.
