Smile Hi all...

pic of my Toyota Yaris SR. With the new 1.33 dual VVT-i engine and 6 speed gear box with Stop/Start, also with Traction and Stability Control (TR & VSC)...

A 1.3 with a 6MT?!?

That thing must get really good MPG's on the highways.

Very nice car, would be nice to see a model like that here in the states.

So why are there so many variations of engine, traction control etc in every different country? You would think the U.S. would get better options than 1 engine.

Cool

Thanks for all the comments. I’ve had my car 4 weeks and its still on its first tank of fuel so I can’t give an accurate MPG yet. So far the engine has been stopped for 1hr 40mins while waiting at junctions/traffic lights etc with the Stop/Start function.

The ride is quiet and smooth. The revs drop like a stone at higher speeds when in 6th gear. The only extras I’ve had (apart form the VSC/TR) are scuff plates and Yaris mats. The tinted glass in the rear is standard. Just thinking of getting a chrome finisher for the exhaust pipe

We don't have that option over here.

I want one! Now if we can get the US EPA/government and Toyota off their cans....

I see that you have Dunlop tyres. I an certain that with a 1.33 that these are a super Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) design - great MPG's. Can you give me the exact tyre model (i.e. Dunlop SP Sport 01 -- I cannot quite make it all out). I hope they may be available in the US.

Thanks!

Dude, if you Google Dunlop in the UK, you can easily find the tyre (yes, they spell it differently over there) More of a sporty tyre than an eco tyre.
