I don't know. What I do know is that they are very high quality, symmetrical, good threads, well made in the USA.

The first pic was one from his prototypes for the STi, I was just asking. I know a few people who have them. Very high quality.

ah, got it, and yes they are!

Checked out WC lathewerks, nice but so expensive! Not sure mine could be the same, as I sell them for $30.

Quick review. I have been using the derlin shift knob for more than a month now and it's very good. The quality is exceptional and the feel is racy. Fact: it doesn't get hot when you leave it in the sun.

^ Did you order a white one? My Black one can get kind of warm in the Texas sun.

warm, sure, but it definitely doesn't get as hot as a metal one, right?

My old metal knob was untouchable after being in the sun for a few hours.

I was kind of hot at the last drift practice day in Houston with the guys from NST. But with the a/c going for a minute or two it had cooled off a lot. I have never had a metal one and I'm sure they get really hot. I bet the white ones don't get near as hot.

Only a bit warm. I never had a metal one but I had the leather one. One our in the sun and it was untouchable. This white one is ... heaven.

I can tell you for certain, these are NOT made by Lathe Werks. The Delrin material used in these knobs is a stronger material than the copolymer plastic they use. I don't believe offer a polished finish on their plastic knobs.

Lathe Werks makes thier knobs one at a time as ordered, so there is a setup time/cost with each knob. The knobs Micro Image has are made in large batches so the setup time is spread over the batch, then each one is either hand polished or brushed to order.
