Dealer Adding Cruise On 07 LB - Toyota Yaris Forums

Local dealer is installing cruise on my 07 LB in the morning. 350 is going to be the price for no more aching right calf muscle. Would do it myself but I do not want to risk warranty complications. Go Yaris!

Anybody had it added?

where is the control knob gonna be ??

There are some on here and alot on Scion Life that has added it but at alot cheaper price, but if it messes up the its their fault. If I was to add it I would just tell them to tack it on the bill for the whole car. They usually put the knob on the left of the steering wheel on the column.

Would you have your dealer talk to mine (Chandler, AZ)? They want to charge $500 for the cruise!!

i wouldnt get it. i think its a waste of money for me. but that is just me. i drive my yaris everyday on the city and dont really need the cruise control. if we do long drive, we just use my wife's car with cruise control on it.

you need to shop that cruise control around just as if you are buying a new car . start with the closest & work out. everytime you get a lower price call another and say that so & so will do it for ?

your current dealer must not want you back as a repeat customer even for service ,cause i'd won't use him ever after that insult , tell him that & then ask for the Toyota distric manager's# as you feel that the customer service here really needs improvement . Toyota has a new problem now & that is dealers like this one with customer service , They come down hard on dealer misconduct . they even will take a francise away for a poor service dealer .. play on that to the hilt !

$500 is insane.

The dealer botched it. They got everything installed but they claim the harness from the throttle to the pedal out of the kit was defective. It will be next week before a new harness arrives. Whatever the installation looks great and the ergonomics of the control unit are well thought out. Stay tuned....
