Tires
I just replaced my tires of my 08 3rd hatchback. The tires had been on Yarrie since I bought her in 08. I could tell I needed to replace the tires, because the car felt "wobbley" and I had alot of road noise. The new tires have a name of Starfire.

Wow. That isn't very many miles. Did you check the air pressure regularly? Or were they possbly splitting just from age? Now that I think about it, some members have reported that their OEM tires were pretty crappy. Mine were pretty good. They lasted a bit over 69,000 miles.
