2012 Yaris YR Auto - high pitch ringing in engine @ 90km/hr plus

Hi all,

I thought I would drop in here and see if any one can tell me what this noise is and if there is any thing I can do to fix it.
The engine emits a ringing frequency at speeds over 90 km/hr. The sound is like tinnitus (ringing in your ears hearing damage narrow sharp frequency). The frequency is about 2 - 3 kHz.
Toyota confirmed they could hear the sound but upon my complaint they replied that this is a standard operating condition of the 2012 yaris yr auto and would not be fixing or replacing the car. I claimed a refund without success. Toyota also confirmed an identical model produced the same ringing. Toyota won't tell me what makes this noise. Hoping someone here knows what this is and can suggest a possible fix. It's extremely irritating. Just test drove a jazz and rio and neither cars exhibit this condition.
