Hi again everyone,

A few of you may know about NST by now, some of you even joined our last GB thread a few months ago. Its time for a new group buy.

We have had our new NST Short Shift Kit in the works for a few months now, and I am happy to report that we are ready to add a new item to our catalog!

NonStopTuning Short Shift Kits are designed for today's spirited drivers. Contrary to traditional kits, NST Short Shift Kits are designed to install in the engine bay and do not require removal of interior components. Installation requires simple hand tools and only a few minutes. The end result is a more firm and precise assembly, with shifts aproximately 30% shorter than the OEM shifter.

NST Short Shift Kits are carefully crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum, individually tested, and then hard anodized: Red, Blue, or :EDIT: Black.

Each member who signs up for this GB will receive ONE NST Short Shift Kit (NSTSSK09) in their choice of Red, Blue, or :EDIT: Black. This will be a special run and will require roughly 14 people within the next 14 days. Each NST SSK will cost $90 SHIPPED anywhere in the USA or Canada and will ship via USPS services. Payments can be made using the services of PayPal, Debit, or Credit cards; we will have detailed instructions for you about this as we come closer to the close of this GB. (June 21, 2007)

We will begin the production process on this GB as soon as the closing date has arrived and will have some sweet SSKs to ship out to you guys in July. Exact ETAs will come when we reach the closing date.

I'm aiming high.

I actually got to play with the test piece today and I can't say enough about it. I did the stick hack early on so now my throws are that much shorter, and it definitely takes some getting used to, but when you figure out the angles you can pretty much flick into gear. There goes driving for fuel economy.

If you have the 1.5L, it will fit no problem. If you have the 1.3, just take a picture of where the cables connect in the engine bay.

is this install the same as the trd one?

It slips over your stock linkage and relocates the pin. The install takes 5 minutes.

1. Installation is very easy and takes roughly 10 minutes. Only the most simple hand tools would be required and installation is very painless.

2. As we have done in the past, we will make sure that you have a very good DIY guide along with pictures on the forums before your pieces ship out.

This piece will work very well if the Mexican-Market Yaris is equipped with the 1.5Liter 1NZ.

Call me crazy, but i've had the twm shifter for about a year and it's starting to lose the short feel. Initially it was the best mod i'd done but now I've gotten used to it and it feels like stock to me now. Would it be too extreme to add this part also? Also, does this kit tighten up some of the slop in the linkage?
