How much has your custom exhaust cost you?
I ordered an exhaust from ZPI more than 3 weeks ago and they havent shipped yet and they dont return my calls or e-mails, so i am 12 hours away from canceling my order and having a custom Borla exhaust installed on my sedan.
i know some of you have had custom exhausts done at a local shop instead of the average megan, tanabe or greddy axle back exhausts. i just wanted to know how much it has cost, parts and labor. |

Hi!
|
vibrant streetpower flat black muffler, 2.25 in/out, $100 shipped from an online site.
stainless axle-back piping, two hangers, gasket, flange, installation, $80. $180 total for a bolt on piece that i can swap out if and when i get a ticket. hope this helps... oh, and it sounds sweet. nice and deep like those sebring exhausts back in the day (but not quite as loud). |

well, mine was more expensive because of the size of the pipe and the stainless borla muffler, muffler alone was 120 bucks...install and piping was a pretty good deal for stainless, 140 including muffler, bending, hangers, removing resonater, and install.

CANCEL, CANCEL, CANCEL your order. Don't put up with that bullshit. It won't fit correctly anyway... You'll end up spending more money at a local shop to correct the fitment issues. Get out while you still can.

when i had a custom catback made for my GTI (when i had it), it cost me 190 for the piping, Flowmaster or Magnaflow (i forget which) muffler, and a nice tip. that's including labor.

correct me if im wrong, but doesnt adding extra wide tubing not do much except make less low/mid power? the header has been said to do nothing either.. so unless your running at like 5K all the time, Im not sure what its going to get you unless your prepairing for a turbo or something. if all you want is sound, get an axle back muff. IMO

yea i was just going to get an axel back for that very same reason. putting a blower or n20 on this car is really the only way to go fast. and then u just tear up shit like the transmission and countless other thngs. i just want a nice shiny pipe sticking out of the back that makes a nice decent sound to go with it.
