my friend stayed the night the other night and when he left in the morning i did his tired and took off his front plate aha

can somebody teach me some painting basics please...

regarding sanding the hubcaps what grit should i use?
after sanding the hubcaps, what else should i do? i've read something about prep? can you help me with this?

and then what else?

sorry guy i really don't have any idea of painting....

First off, you wanna use very smooth sandpaper. Something that's 600 grit or smoother works great. Then grab a spray can and hold it about a foot away while spraying in a sweeping one side to the other motion to get an even coat. After it dries, you can block off certain areas with masking tape and paper to fill-in different-colored details with a paintbrush. Let that dry, then take off all masking. Voila!
