What could cause the difference in rear toe?
Well I went back up to the stock setup with the stock springs and shocks. After getting the alignment done, since I knew for sure the front's would be way off, the rears came back entirely within spec. But they varied a fair amount. The rear left was about .09 and the rear right was at .28. I'm not quite sure why their would be such a variance even though it's still within spec. Is that much difference in the two going to hurt anything? Has anyone elses rear toe specs came back similar before?

I think that amount of difference could easily be factory tolerance. You shouldn't have any problems.
It wouldn't hurt to check the (rear)springs, make sure they are seated properly (they determine ride height, which will change your toe slightly). |

Are you still using the upper hole for the rear suspension?

I lowered the arms to the lower hole, so everything's back to factory specs. According to the printout I got from the alignment place, .28 is still within tolerance. I believe it was from .03 to .31 that is tolerable. I just wonder why such a wide variance.

I thought the rears are unadjustable?
And I went back to stock because driving on hard packed snow for a few months with relatively stiff springs and stiff shocks is not a very pleasant thing to endure lol. Perhaps in the spring I'll go back to the lowering setup. |

After I installed my TRD parts I took it for alignment. I can't recall the spec.'s but my rears were not equal but were within OEM tolerance. The Tech suggested he could shim to make them equal but felt it wasn't going to be an issue. Many thousands of kilometers later the rears are wearing equally.

my rear toe was 0.06" and 0.14" before adjustment. and 0.07 and 0.12 after.
There's always a light adjustments within the bolts.. My yaris have something in the front that is slightly out of spec.. i was told it did not affect anything..... |
