sedan cargo capacity bigger...???
check out the link...
http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/dir...w/.ef35594/984 some people said the sedan cargo capacity is bigger... i really don't get it... is it true...? (toyota.ca says bigger for sedan) well, i understand sedan has bigger trunk... because of it's longer tail... but with the rear seats down... isn't liftback should have more cargo space than sedan... or am i wrong...??? i like liftback better because i assumed liftback has more cargo room... now i see sedan getting more beautiful pictures taken... i'm afraid i'm drifting over to sedan... The sedan is over 1 foot longer than the hatchback.

For the hatch, you will have to lower the back seats to get bigger than sedan cargo capacity. That means when you gain cargo capacity, you lose passenger capacity at the same time. However, if it is that kind of flexibility that you want, the hatch should be good for you.

Technically, i think everyone on this forum should be less petty. If you dont have anything positive to say, dont post it! :)
Anyhow ... the cargo space / luggage capacity in the Sedan IS BIGGER. Handsdown, the Sedan has more "Boot Space" whilst retaining 5 seats and able legroom for passengers. If you are wanting to take a 68cm tv home, you would probably be able to do it in the hatch with the rear seats down, however i have no doubt you could fit MUCH MORE luggage in a sedan without losing ANY seat space. To me this is really the point. If you need to transport a few big boxes now and then, being able to fold the seats down is more important that the larger trunk space in the sedan. I don't see the point of the sedan -- at least for my needs, of course. |
