17mm offset wrench, 6mm (8mm?) Allen wrench. Make sure you keep the allen wrench in one position (to keep from spinning the piston) and turn the offset wrench counter-clockwise. You may want to start the nut by putting the wrenches about 15-20° apart, then squeezing them like a pair of pliers. You use the same technique for removing the sway bar links.
If you remove the wiper cowl, there is a lot more room for your hands. I've left it on the last two times, but that was only after I got a pass-through socket wrench. Be careful if you do though--there's some super sharp edges hiding under there. |
