Um, the first time I changed the oil, I bought an STP oil filter, the one that's supposed to be better than their regular one. I bought it from Advance Auto too. Strange it's not listed in that site. It's been replaced and I have no info on its part number anymore...
Anyway, here's a popular linky for your perusal - http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw/oilfi...lterstudy.html |

You can use the WIX filter for the 2.4L We have a rav4, 2005 and I use the same filter on both. Its a little longer ( 1/4"?) but fits no prob - same specs so no prob there either. I think the last digit of the part # is a 6 instead of a 4. Bigger is better with filters!

The purolator doesnt fit right on my 08 3 dr. It doesnt grab enough threads when you twist it on maybe only 2 which is NOT enough! And I like purolator too. And AC delco Too You dont want to risk the thing falling off - or stripping threads. Why purolator doesnt fit well
