My NF's came with a diagram explaining how much you should cut. I just followed those directions and it came out great.

So, say if you are using NF's now with stock shocks and you cut the bump stops as directed. Will you need new bump stops if you change the shocks later on? Or do you reuse the cut bump stops?

I'm reusing. Or you could go all out and get the kit at FatCatMotorsports http://www.fatcatmotorsports.com/FCMstops_Yaris.htm

Now I'm no expert in the field unlike some of you on here, but I was speaking to a technician @ Whiteline (reputable suspension specialists in Australia), and I was advised that it would be okay to not cut the bump stops with spring drops of about 1.1"-1.5". That is unless you plan to drive your Yaris hard. Normal street driving would be okay without cutting.
(Having said the above, it heavily depends on the quality of the streets you drive around. If your roads are like the surface of the moon then by all means, cut them.) I hope that helps. |
