FS:CTScotts Air Bag Bypass Module

brand new never used. Purchased to use with my red seats that i ended up selling. never even took the bypass out of the box.

Looking to get what i paid $50 will cover shipping myself.

its plug and play.

this module plus into the airbag seat sensor to enable you to fool the airbag system into thinking there is someone in the seat. It enables you to turn the airbag on an off rather than relying on the pressure switch in the seat.

paypal is prefered!

Thanks!

how many of these are there? 2, 1 for each seat or just 1?

just one. the driver side doesnt need one since there is always a driver in the car, the airbags don't check if there is a driver there :)

For the driver's seat there is position sensor that you transfer from the OEM seat rail to the aftermarket seat rail. It determines how close the seat is to the steering wheel, so the SRS can decide to do a full or half blow of the driver's airbag.

For the passenger seat there are four sensors at the seat mounting points that measure the passenger's weight to decide if the airbag should blow. This module plugs into the ECU that sits under the passenger seat in place of the harness to those four sensor. It communicates with the ECU in place of the sensors and has a switch (that you can mount where you want) to allow you to decide of the airbag should be armed or not.

Actually, the purpose is to allow the passenger airbag to still work, when one installs aftermarket seats. Without it the passenger airbag won't work, and the SRS light will remain illuminated on the cluster.
