WTB injen air intake

I've been looking around for an aFe but a lot of people are throwing cel's and they seem hard to come by. An ebay seller has now dropped injen's to $160 so I'm seeing if I can snag up a used one before pulling the trigger on it.

I have a used AEM CAI intake with the dry filter ...

The pipe had been cut to fit onto my blitz supercharger , but I still have the piece and will include a rubber hose coupling .

$100 + shipping , I can send you pictures.... My email is dwitan at yahoo dot com .

I had afe intake prior to the AEM CAI, and threw a cell as well due to a plastic housing to attach the maf sensor ...

Let me know

100 bucks is a good deal for a cai with a dry element filter.

I wanted a short ram and bought a Weapon R Dragon on ebay for $168. I got it just for the pipe, and sold the foam filter to offset getting a really top notch dry filter. It never threw a check engine light, even though to fit the filter I cut the dang thing in half...

^ I actually bought and waiting for the blox velocity stack to come, already has the k&n filter with a 6" opening inlet and has another modified AEM intake pipe to fit onto the blitz supercharger .

I'm on the road right now and can't post any picture on the forum... But I can send a picture or two if you shoot me an email .

Thanks
Tan

With the supercharger, you'll actually make use of that big stack. On my puny stock engine, it's just bling.

Too bad I already have my intake. I would have snatched up your intake to make a short ram out of it in a heartbeat. The most valuable part is the MAF mounting flange. I didn't hesitate to hack mine up for a perfect filter fit because the rest is just simple tubing.

Let's try this again... looking for an INJEN intake.

If it's not an injen, don't try to sell me on it.

First, why are you so set on Injen?

Second, where in MKE are you? I live downtown and work in Brookfield, and would be more than happy to show you my K&N SRI if you're open to looking at other options...

Set on injen because I don't see the point in aem/hps or even the trd over the ebay brand plus a decent filter. AFE and the K&N sri are overpriced, I'm sure I could make a short ram with some kind of heat shielding for far less than the $200-250. Don't really see the point in spending that kind of money on a sri with minimal power gains. It's all about the $/hp factor. I realize cai's require more tedious maintenance, but with work being close to home, I don't put more than 12k miles a year (probably only need to clean filter once a year).

I live in Brown Deer, actually went to high school in Brookfield (worst 4 years of my life).

I never had a cel issue with my afe. Been running it for a couple thousand miles.

I want to upgrade to a CAI but I can't risk it living in FL at my ride height.

If you're interested, I have a spare filter that I got with my K&N. My buddy had an aFe (I think) dry filter laying around. If you wanted to get the piping to make the CAI, I'll give you my spare filter. Garm on MI carries the K&N cleaning kits, though this one is in perfect condition, you won't need to clean it for awhile.

Want to meet up sometime?

Ever consider a hydroshield, or an oiled filter?

yes, I have heard of them but how effective are they?

The oil doesn't prevent hydrolock does it? I thought it was only for dirt and debris?

You could. The most important part is the MAF sensor tubing section. I made up a killer custom velocity stack SRI intake for $200.

Cheapest price on ebay is $185 with free shipping, which is not too bad if you decide on a new one. I like the clean looks and the dry filter of the Injen intakes.

I'm sure they will both repel water, but I wouldn't submerge the filter in a lake and take any chances...
or how about that TRD bypass valve thing?

yeah Im familiar with all three of them but currently im sitting like 2.5" off the ground so the filter could potentially be no more than 6-8" above the floor and Idk if I want to chance that.
