Anyone know what is that little square near the 12v outlet?

Hello,
I must say you have a very well put Forum
I just got myself a 2008 5 door HB with 19 000 km(old lady had it).
It might have been posted but I cant seem to find what it is or what is it used for:

What goes in that little square.....I have searched several Yaris( at the dealer) and none had anything there!

Anyone know?

-Manny.

Good question.
Perhaps it's for some sort of JDM accessory?

Anyway, it's a great place to put in an out of the way switch.

They put those in for other switches that aren't installed in your car or for when the drivers side is reversed to move the same switch closer to the driver. Every Toyota I have owned had one or two of those cut outs.

I've always wondered that myself what it was for that and the 2 other "place holders" down side of my aux input and lock button. I just think that they are either expansion places or maybe stuff avialable in other markets gose there maybe

I had seat heaters added to my front seats. The controls for them were placed in those 2 expansion slots by the aux input.
