Toyota Premium Horn

I am thinking of upgrading my stock horn and getting rid of the "meep meep" road runner sound, so other drivers will actually hear my horn and take it seriously. :)

Does anyone have experience with installing these particular Toyota Premium Horn kit? Since there is only one stock horn, can the wiring be split to run to 2 horns instead? Is there perhaps another set of wires to use a second horn? I would like to keep everything Toyota plug and play, I am wondering what my options are to getting the exact plastic connector ends to fit into the horns directly.

I am unsure what the official instructions say, since they are in Japanese. This looks like it assume there are 2 horns on the car already.

Any advice? Please and thank you!

Hi Marty
if you look behind your grill you should see the orginal horn ,
Taped to it should be another set of wires to plug in a second
horn .

Right on! I knew you would know something about this.

Did you happen to use this horn?

I'm getting my doubts that's a genuine Toyota product, typically the silver holographic seal is pretty obvious...

I had a look, and unfortunately there are no other wires taped to this area that look like they are for the horn. There is a thick collection of pink and white wires, but no green wire or connector for a horn.

If you splice the existing wire, do you have to worry about blowing a fuse when adding the 2-tone horn system?

My guess is that you will need to have it wired separately as horns take some juice.

Meteorite_Marty, I know you like to keep all mods to Toyota/OEM parts, but really you should look into Fiamm El Grande electric horns.

I have a set on my car they they are fantastic! It's now on sale for $19.94 at Amazon.com! .

My mistake sorry, i was looking at my Station Wagon , Ooopp's
if you install these or something similar you will have to increase fuse size
to at least 15 amp .

I assume that is not as simple as just popping in a higher amp fuse? Won't the wiring burn in such cases?

Thanks for the suggestion... did you have to do any wiring alteration? How were you able to integrate the Fiamms into the existing wiring. Any problems with fuses blowing?
