Yeah, I wish the Yaris has a 6th gear. 5th gear is just two short.

hahahaha, bring that down half...I cruise around at 55 mph. And having the rpms near 3k is just too short (gear ratio wise) for me. hahahaha. I wish 60 mph was a lot more near 2k rpm than it was to 3k rpm.

I love just about anything with four wheels, especially the small cars (as you well know). I will, however, never understand the closed mindedness of some people with regards to other cars. I realize a lot of people are loyal to their respective brands, but I don't get why people demonize the owners of those cars, or the cars themselves. Granted, there are certain makes and models that I would not buy, but I understand some cars are not for all people. Yes, certain forums have more members that are a bit, how shall we say, "abrasive," but you've got to ignore those folks; at least that's what I do.

I wish that some people had a bit more respect, but that goes for just about everything, not just car forums.

However, with cars and forums, we're all auto enthusiasts. No matter if it's a V-8 or a four cylinder; an import or domestic; Honda or Toyota—we all love cars.

I agree. When I'm on the highway, I wish we had a 6th gear.

don't diss the Versa. The seats in that car are wayyyyy comfy than Yaris and Fit's put together...i rode i on to Carmel Beach, about a 2 hour drive w/ traffic, seats almost put me to sleep.... :D

Overall, the inside interior was horrible for my virgin eyes.....nice pep on the car though...

who builds a small hatch that has a rear folding seat that doesnt leave an even remotely flat loading area. defeats one of the big benefits of a hatch. nobody would build such a hatch. oh wait, nissan did. i wont even get into the real world mileage of the versa.

and i wish everyone would understand...if the yaris had a 6th gear, it wouldnt have much lower rpm's on the hwy. all the other gears would just be closer together. the versa 6 speed is at just over 3000 rpm's at 70 mph, about the same as the yaris in 5th gear.

truth.

in my xrs 1st and 6th were the same as 1st and 5th on a 1zz matrix/corolla, just all of the in-between gears were closer

I wish the Hyundai accent and Suzuki SX4 had more aftermarket support. I think both cars have potential.

One, the Versa is built by Nissan. Not a horrible car company, but not the name Toyota or Honda, which both have MANY vehicles and engines that go over 300K miles average. Two, how much time did Nissan put into researching their car? Toyota and Honda both put close to 4 years each. Research pays off in the end, trust me. Heck, don't trust me, but go and do your own research. Three, No matter what you drive, if you are not happy in it, it doesn't matter what the brand or model it is. Be HAPPY and CONFIDENT in what you drive and the rest will come.

or you know.... just drive all of em... and dont be a hater to them while you are driving them... ive personally had Lots and lots of hours seat time in the yaris and versa. The versa is a much more smooth ride/Comfortable as hell seats, faster, Just feels more luxurious in general, and it handles better stock. I don't like how it looks stock, but then again I don't quite feel the yaris stock look either. The fit, I haven't riden in yet so I couldn't tell you anything on that

How many different Fit models are there? I've seen some around here with the elongated nose (looks like a shoehorn) and some that have short noses (more like the Yaris).

The ones with short noses look pretty nice.

Long nose = old model
Short nose = new (2009) model.
