Use sound deadening on roof?
I was reading the RAAMaudio website about what parts of the car to apply to and in the roof section it says some cars can benefit and some don't really need it. Anyone do this? Is it needed on our cars?

Here's my roof deadening:
^A layer of Stinger Roadkill Extreme ^A second layer of Stinger Overkill ...Anyone who has rapped the roof on my car knows that this is a good move.

^ that is so sweet. If I didn't care about weight, I would totally do this.
Have you guys also added sound deadening to your wheel wells?

No, but I added a couple 8.5" mid bass speakers! :D
Actually I did a bit of deadening on the cabin side of the wheel wells.

I'm about to do the front wheel wells on the outside the rear wheel wells are treated from the inside, same for the front near the firewall. I noticed on some luxury cars that the rear wheel wells are covered with some thing like an "all weather rug" (some thing like turf but not green) that really absorbs the noise of the water splashing inside the wheel wells. Check this video and you'll see why I'm going to do all the front fenders and hood... VIDEO LINK CLICK HERE + 2 For the ROOF, sqcomp did a great totorial and instructions for this. |
