Green ECO plates for Ontario, still planned?
Ontario was due to announce Green license plates (with perks) for eco-friendly vehicles back in August. I've seen nor heard nothing yet. Can anyone shed any light regarding this now overdue program? Or was is squashed?

I think it had something to do with political propaganda. I was looking forward to it, first with my smart car and now with my Yaris.

I think it would be a dandy idea, priority parking for eco cars(EI Ikea has Hybrid parking spots(This made me just want to grab a Hybrid badge and throw it on there, lol.))

I already get a sort of priority parking with the Yaris. Even our sedan is small enough to fit in spaces which all those boats can't. In the winter things get better because of the many people who use all season tires and cannot plow through the snow banks to even more parking spaces.

I liked the notion of using the HOV lanes without passengers for my morning commute. It's near empty at 6:15 a.m., unlike the other three lanes of the 403. Not many carpooling through the night. Not until office hours.
