yeah. i was a kid when i first saw it so i couldnt really appreciate the meaning behind it. then i watched it a few years back and realized that it was pretty innovative for the time period it was made.

So what did you think of the new version of the film and how closely did it parallel the original storyline?

dunno yet. thats what sucks about alaska the most. everything gets here last. that's why the voter turnout for the election was so bad. the election was already over by the time it got here. by the time i get into the theater here, peeps on the east coast could have seen the midnight showing TWICE. stupid time zones.

Haha I just saw the original tonight. Definitely looking forward to the remake tomorrow, if I can force the lady to come...

well i just got back from the theater. here was my take on it:
possible spoiler? i just put it there because someone is going to say something about ruining their day. anyway, aside from the fact that the movie was somewhat predictable, i actually thought it was a very good movie. There is a trick to liking this movie though: you have to accept it for what it is: but i cant say anything for fear of ruining someone's day. So a comparison: remember how the original was dealing with real world issues (cold war, anti-communism, etc.) that were happening at about the same time the movie was made? Well, the same is true for this one, only not cold war stuff, but other stuff.
