you can do some research on that bearing/hub combo. find a hub w 5 lug and press out your hub...i know it's a sealed bearing but it was assembled somehow. you could also buy the bearing since you're going through all the trouble and it's just another step to press in/out the old bearing.

press out the old hub, press in the new hub...no biggie. specially for someone who has to 'modify everything to fit anything'...per se'.

i think that the hubs on a corolla will fit just fine. i'm sure toyota is smart enough to use the same bearing/designs especially if it works...and just change the hubs out.

long story short, i used a chevy truck hub/bearing on my jeep cuz it was 30 bux cheaper. the only difference was the lug size. i pressed out the 6-lug hub and pressed in my old 5-lug hub just fine. and instead of replacing my bearings every 6 months they lasted another 18 and i sold it with them still in there.

Big lo, any idea how they change to 5-lug?
Sure buddy I'll get the info to you ASAP I have a buddy who did it and is rocking the Rav 4 rims not my taste but a good job at that, from what I know the stock hub is very easy to take off and you need a special rachet to do so, I'll pm you with more info

Went to a Breakers Yard today, and managed to find a new Corolla there... Front end seems OK, and the Toyota Schematics show a similar setup, only problem is the Rear now because the Vitz has Drums at the Rear, but the Corolla has Discs... Grrrr!!!!

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Scion XD rear trailing arm will fit.

If I go the Corolla Option, what would happen if i transfered the Rear Disc Brakes setup across to the Yaris? Would it just connect to the existing Brake lines? If so, it could be a combo way of getting 5-lug and rear discs! Hmmmm!!??

Is there a way to change to 5-lug? Would I maybe have to change my rear drums and front discs to that of maybe the New Corolla (which is a 5-lug) to then make it fit?

Sorry if this offends anyone but out here we pretty much have to modify everything and anything because there are no tuning places or accessory stores......
Go to my website, www.traklitewheels.com, see if you like anything, I have 17' 4 hole wheels.......

Given up on the 5-lug conversion, after seeing the amount of work required to transplant the Corolla Hubs and Brakes across, just not motivating enough!!!

Still on the hunt for the above Yaris TS 17" Wheels though, ANYBODY have a set of these that they want to sell? Surely some of the TS owners are doing the aftermarket wheel thing??

I know, we just don't have that version in the US. Was linking the closest thing I could think of and saw they shipped internationally.

in order to go from drum to disc you need to change out the proportioning valve. if not you'll wear the rears wayyyyyy faster than the fronts. it's set up that way to overcome the springs in the drums so the disc doesnt engage first....no springs, rears will engage first.
