Killer B Motorsports white delrin shift knob installed!

After discovering that Toyota and Subaru use the same thread pitch/diameter, I found an awesome little company that sells machined Delrin shift knobs, Killer B Motorsports. After talking with the owner Chris, I bought one of their shift balls to see if it would fit in my 09 Yaris. Lo and behold, it does!

More pics (crappy quality, I'll have better ones later):

Because the Yaris has a strangely tapered (and very short threaded section), the knob comes VERY close to threading all the way down, but leaves a 1mm or so gap. I'll try and grab a pic of what I mean. Chris offered some advice as to fixing the issue (drill out the knob a tiny bit), and even offered to do it, but it doesn't bother me.

Overall, I would highly recommend this knob. It's VERY nicely machined, and feels excellent rowing through the gears. Chris is also a very nice guy, and has provided top-notch customer service!

Here is Killer B's ordering page:

I'm glad you two got in touch! I mentioned Micro Image to him as a potential vendor for selling the knobs to the Yaris community at large.

I like that, but it still doesn't beat my color-changing disco ball shift knob.

I'm assuming they make knobs for M/T thread size only

It could only be appreciated in person....really.

It has several settings from single color/no blinking to multi-colored strobe effect. It ROCKS at night.

Yes, the automatic is a different thread diameter I believe. I would contact him (or now Micro Image!) and ask. If there was enough demand I'm sure they could drill out the current knobs for the auto's threads.

No. But if I didn't have kiddos to haul around once in a while and were to take out everything from behind the front seats, THAT is the theme I would go with. A disco-era dance floor.

Schleppy!! I'm sorry I semi-hijacked this thread!

I can't give you an exact weight, but it's very light. I've always been a fan of weighted (heavy) shift knobs, but this one has changed my mind.
