got this email this morning......

The Blitz Performance USA branch has closed due to the prolonged economic downturn.

The brand did not sustain enough sales to warrant continuing business, so we must liquidate our current Blitz inventory and move forward without the Blitz brand. Take this opportunity to purchase any in stock Blitz items that you are interested in as stock will not be able to be replenished once sold.

Blitz products will be sold at least 10% off MSRP until they are all out of stock.

We are doing our best to keep only in stock Blitz items posted on our site, however these items are selling FAST due to this recent news, so there is a chance an item purchased may have already gone out of stock before we could remove it from the site. In case this occurs, you will be offered a refund or store credit as soon as possible. For example, at the time of posting of this news piece, there are approximately 50 Blitz units still in stock, yesterday at this time there were approximately 60.

We regret that Blitz will not be continuing in the USA, they are a very high quality brand and we highly recommend Blitz products. We strongly suggest considering any in stock Blitz products now, as you will not have the opportunity to do so later.

I WONDER what this means for our supercharger dreams???

That email is not from Blitz, it's from a reseller who is not continuing to sell the product. I have the original email from Blitz.

Blitz distribution is now handled by Option Auto Salon. I will continue to get premium dealer discount rates, and I have product coming in all the time.

So some of that is just not true.

Thank god. I was looking to get Blitz springs next year, amongst other things.

I concur.

It's a bulk email out to their customers (and probably non-customers) to try and offload their Blitz stock and make some cash. If people think the manufacturer is not going to be around they are more apt to buy stuff they want now before it disappears.

Whoever this reseller is just wanted to use this scare tactic so people can scoop up all the Blitz product that they are "stuck with" LOL

^ maybe they got pissed off at Blitz for something juvenile? Or perhaps there's some personal reasons to hurt Blitz's business? Either way, it's pretty stupid to lie about that, especially when there's still Blitz vendors in the states.
