My '07 Yaris hatchback is for sale at a local dealer now

Well, I guess it's not for sale "by private party". I traded it in to them. Delete if against the rules.

What was the driving factor in making you swap out for a tC? Just curious.

So a few weeks ago a chick hits me from behind because I guess I wasn't taking off fast enough for her. Just the lightest of love taps, but the bumper dimpled some and a tab broke, too. Her insurance paid to get it all fixed and gave me a 2016 Camry for a week, and damn, I think, that is one comfortable car with all the modern amenities you'd expect these days. Comfortable, quiet, powerful enough to get out of its own way (see above)... but it's a Caaaaaaamry, I don't want a Camry. Everybody has a Camry, wah.

Oh well. Had my Yaris back for a week, enter the DFW Car Show. I checked out the Scion iA by Toyota made by Mazda, the new Yaris (meh), a couple of VWs... none of them left me with a tingly feeling down there

Hey, there's the Scion tC. Somebody who works in the same building as I do has one (flat cement gray). Sat in it. Like the adjustability of the driver seat and the steering wheel, lots of room in the trunk, the dash kinda reminded me of the ones in 1990s BMWs...

Checked Autotrader.com to see what's available, went to just look at one, and somehow drove it home two hours later.

Ha, nice!

A good friend of mine had one on coilovers, decent sound system, home depot intake. Man, that thing would take freeway on-ramps something fierce!

Hope she's good to you; enjoy.

Lets call it a fair market price, based on KBB and the price of the tC.

I could have probably gotten a bit more selling it myself, but it's been sitting at the lot for a week now. Baffling. I would have thought a 9 year old base model econobox with manual transmission and 134,000 miles would have been snapped right up.

That's a nice head unit. I really want to get something like that in my car. I think it'll be my next mod; just need to save my pennies up. $220 isn't bad at all for something like that. The yaris doesn't have the 8 speaker with amp setup that the tC does, but a better head unit with more rms power is going to make the stock speakers sing. Then a small amp and sub in box takes care of the rest for a basic, much better sounding setup.

Just that head unit, and the stock speakers was pretty good. A bit mushy at higher volumes. But acceptable with all the cabin noise that I don't miss at all. And the install parts are the same I re-used on the tC.

Speaking of which, the Yaris in the link on top does come with a TRD rear sway bar installed, the Weathertech in-channel window visors, plus power mirrors per CTScott's instructions, new-ish spark plugs and accessory belt, and cabin and engine air filters.
