Hi Frank,
Have you guys had any experience with the NST SSKs? I'm contemplating adding a weighed knob, and I was wondering if there's anything to worry about if I plan on leaving both SSKs on at the same time? Also, would a TWM piston version sit higher than the OEM knob does even at the lowest NTIS setting? Thanks!

It's a good improvement for any short shifter on the market. When you add a short shifter, it requires a little more effort to shift because of the shorter throw. Adding a weighted shift knob will offset this effort because of the extra weight. Once set in motion, the weighted shift knob carries more energy and is harder to stop, therefore it wants to shift in the next gear by itself. Basically, it's a great addition to a short shifter.
However, we don't really recommend installing a full replacement short shifter with a short shifter adapter on the transmission end at the same time. When set at the lowest, the Piston shift knob will sit lower than the stock shift knob. Thanks, Frank TWM Performance |
