^ Update..
(I know .. Do not tell me )))))))) I appeared to have done everything I could not to purchase the right kit.. Really 200% due dill done )) As a final measure I checked pretty much every part from the BlitsUSA SC installation manual against the pic I received from the vendor. It took me three weeks (found pics of Xb/Echo and Yaris TBs on ebay) to realize the Blitz on-line Yaris manual is in fact showing the xb engine. Luckily changes that are needed are limited to TB spacer/adaptor, TB suport/hanger, and new belt - all those issued were covered in great detail on YW. The deal I got on mine is kind OK. Not ok was shipping cost to canada and custom duties which means that in case I decide to sell it i am most likely 300 bucks down. On the bright side, the condition of the kit is better than expected- had concerns about the pulley/bearings of the Sc itself - both look/rotate/engage (if both the pulley and the clutch plate are rotated together) super smoothly (btw, SC "Intenstines" look kinda scary))))). Condition of the tensioning pully is between very good and excellent - there is hardly noticable play between the bearing and pulley body itself (smth like 0.2 mm) but the bearing itself looks totally good. The only missing part so far is the 16 mm collar for the tensioning pulley - there is lots of stuff in my nearby H.Depot that I can replace it with. I suspect I might miss some of the bolts / spacers / will buy a metric kit prior to install plus will check everything against the manual. Plans re TB adaptor: if I can not find a machine shop which would be able to fabricatew one for me, will buy smth undrilled like this and try to adjust it (couple days with a good file can do miracles - I am amazing at repeatedly doing stupid labor intensive tasks thanks to my Car-audio hobby). http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/38123/10002/-1 (I also found a good drawing of our TB made by CrankyOldMan (Thank you C.O.M.!!) http://photo.qip.ru/users/tolmach/96608749/129780369/) CAI - will either adjust/ cut my TRD CIA or (most likely) buy a cheap straight aftermarket tube with MAF holder. |
