8-inch Windshield Strip

Going in a couple of hours to get a tint strip installed on the windshield. The guy who did the tint originally said that I'd have to take off the RV mirror in order to do the windshield, so I didn't have it done at the time...but somehow today he can do the job without the mirror removal.

I'm getting it 8-inches down from the top, 20%. Yaris has a helluva long windshield.

I got an eyebrow on the original and the replacement windsheild. Love it. Basically , if you go down to the end of the shaded area behind the mirror it looks best IMO and its the legal limit too in most states

When I got mine done (all 3 times) they didn't have to remove the mirror. However, they just did a square cut around the mount point, so it doesn't look that pretty from the inside of you think to look.

The area that's already shaded is pretty dark, so you can't really notice, all you'll really see is the bubbles until they dissipate :)

The guy got mine done and there is a neat square cut out where the mirror is. I have no idea how he did it, but the 8 inches is just above my sight line, which is perfect. He suggested doing the whole windshield, and I said no to that. In Kentucky where I live, 20% all around is illegal (probably is everywhere), but of course most places do it if you want. I have always had 20% all around, but sometimes have to roll down the window at night to back up. :) I couldn't imagine the whole windshield tinted at night.
